postcards in my mailbox

Hello guys, how did your week begin?
Saturday, I forgot to post y incoming mail for the week, so here it is instead:
I've been loving those postcards I received respectively from Nicole in China for a private swap, my postcard pal Amit in India, and from "Morning" in China (she didn't signed with her name), a lovely girl who tagged me on postcrossing for an hand drawn postcard.

Nicole's postcard shows an old map of the various provinces of China, and I love its vintage look. Amit's one shows in a very fun way the various type of turbans that are used in India, and he also wrote about their meaning, and it was really interesting to learn!

october mail week 1

Good afternoon guys!
Have you sent many letters this week? Me, not really, just a few. I'm a little behind with some replies but I have to sort out some Uni stuff before the semester begins, so it might take a while.
Anyways, that's what went out:
A letter to Elisse (whenever I write this, I can't help but singing this song in my head, lol) in Belgium, which looks quite Italian with the little Vespa on the envelope and the man on the stamp (which according to wikipedia was a famous Italian tenor).

august mail week #3

Hello guys :) This week I had a letter writing spree, and the chance to reply to a bunch of letters that were awaiting for a response since I left for the holidays.
Since Monday, I've sent 8 letters and 3 postcards in total; They were for:

Marysza in Poland, and Nada in Algeria.
The hand made envelope with all these books seems just perfect for Marysza, as they reminded me of her awesome creations :)

lost & found in my mailbox

Hi guys! As you might have noticed yesterday there was no freebie Friday..because this week I've made a special one for a friend's blog but I can't tell you more than that for now u_u However, next week I'll share some freebies again, don't worry!

This week I've found a couple of pleasant surprises in my mailbox, but alas, a displeasing one too.
Let's start with the lovely letters I've received:

this is one is from Mona. She makes the loveliest envelopes. Along with the letter, she sent some postcards she took during her trip to San Fran, and I'm not sure if you can see, but one has a very vintage touch!

Then, I got Maggie's letter.

It travelled quite a long time to reach me from the Arab Emirates, but luckily it eventually arrived safely, and so did the seashell that she included for me :)

july mail week #2

Hi guys! How are you today?
Yesterday I got back from Rome, they've been a couple of really nice days and the concert was pretty awesome. Besides a couple of drawbacks, I really enjoyed it :)

(source)
I didn't had the chance to actually send postcards from Rome, but some of you will be receiving a postcard anyway along with your letters :3

Speaking of letters, as soon as I got back home, I had the chance to finally catch up with a couple of you, and this morning I sent out letters for:
Alicja, Neda, Marjolijn, and not to forget the Travelling Notebook to Elisse.

The first 10 out of 20 postcards that had been requested, also will be going out anytime soon this week :)

However I will surely write and send some more letters too, (so far they're for Nadz and Sara S.)
I'll update the outgoing list in the next post!

Have a lovely day,
ƒ.

mail art in my mailbox

Hello my dears :)
how was your mail week?
Mine started pretty late. I didn't received anything since Thursday, but it was absolutely worth the waiting! Not in a particular order, that's what I received:

This letter, is my first from my new penpal Nadz from Malaysia.
She wrote me a very interesting letter introducing herself and the culture of her country, which I must say, is so fascinating! There are a lot of native tribes where she lives, and the person on the postcard belongs to one of those. As I said, so fascinating!

postcard-mo?

I keep receiving emails from people asking me about when will I do another lettermo and if I will accept letter requests again. As I said before, I loved doing the lettermo, but besides being a little too expensive for me, I was also pretty upset that the majority of people that requested and received a letter, never even bothered to send me an email or a message just to say "hey, the letter made it!".
On the other hand, I'm also grateful because thanks to it, I met some amazing people.. so I'm doing something slightly different for the summer, but with the same leitmotif.

As some of you might know, I'll spend the summer at home this year. If there's someone else like me that is not going anywhere and would like to find a little something in their mailbox, you can request a postcard!
Submit your details here, and one random day (July/August) you'll find a postcard from Italy waiting for you :3
There are only 20 slots available, so if you signed up in time, I'll send you a confirmation email.

EDIT: Ok guys, I've already filled up all the slots, thank ya'll! I'll be sending confirmation messages soon~~

Incoming Mail #2

This week, I've received a lot of pretty letters, and I'm still so excited about them!
On monday I got the remaining two postcards I was waiting for the book suggestions swap:

The first one is my favorite, I really love black&white vintage-looking postcards, and moreover, the pictures itself is really beautiful. The second one, is also nice. It would be even better if the font wasn't comic sans.. but this time I can get over it u_u
