I feel really blessed to have many talented friends all over the globe that care to share their wonderful creations with me every now and again! In this particular case, I'm referring to Ely, my awesome penpal from Mexico.
With her letter (all written in spanish, I want to add ♥), she sent me some cards and stickers she designed, and that I quickly fell in love with:
She was also so kind to include a present for my birthday (which is in about 3 weeks, but knowing how slow mail from Mexico reaches me, I truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of the gesture), which is this dragonfly notebook, that besides being gorgeous, is also made from recycled materials and I don't think it could get better than that!
Last but not least, she included a "city explorer kit" from her trip to Querétaro, and I loved going through all the bits and pieces imagining the places she visited ☺
Thank you so much for your wonderful parcel, Ely. Will write back soon!
What did you receive lately?
Have a great week,
ƒ.

june mail week #4
Hello peeps!
As some of you noticed, I changed my layout. I really like this one better! It's neater, don't you think? :)
Anyway, June is almost over; I really wish I could cheer for the holidays etc, but I'll be in town the whole month of July (..studying!) and that won't be particularly funny.
Sticking to the mail topic, it's time for the monthly stats!

wood in my mailbox?
Hi guys, happy Saturday!
What did you find in your mailboxes this week? I found a lot of beautiful letters that I can't wait to share with you :)
The first letter that arrived, it's this one from Ria in Romania. She wrote my letter on very old paper (so beautiful!) and sent me some postcards and a drawing that her sister - who loves fashion design - made.
Her sister also draw on the back of the envelope, but I forgot to take a picture >n< Anyway you can tell she's pretty talented!

lettermo May week #5
As every month's final post about the lettermo, I feel both sad and accomplished.
Every month I love this project more and more, and every month I get to know new friends and there's nothing better!
As tradition, here's the stats:
This month was waaay better than April in terms of incoming. I received about the double of the letters I received last month, not to mention that a couple of them where wonderful packages <3
Anyway, let's see the last letter I sent out this month, sigh.

lettermo May week #2
Hello folks :)
as you might have noticed, I skipped the first week of mailing this month. Incroyable, I know.. but I don't even know what happened and why I actually skipped it. I'm just forgetful and my remembrall was out of reach.
Anyway, starting from last Monday I've sent all the due letters, and all the ones for the rest of the week are laying here ready to be released in the world.
Here's the pictures :]

bunnies in my mailbox
Contrary to last week, this one was quite good in terms of incoming mail. However, some letters are still missing who knows where, and it really pisses me off, but I still want to believe that they'll arrive sooner or later.
This week I've found quite a few surprises in my mailbox. The first was Maggie's letter:

another lettermo is over.
Hello everyone! This is my favourite time of the month, when I can see the big picture of what I've done during the whole month :)
Since I love graphs -especially pie ones- here's the one for April:
As you can see, the outgoing letters has been way more than the incoming ones, and also more than the monthly goal for the lettermo (about > 10 letters ).
Anyway, it's fine. I enjoyed my fourteen letters :) and of course I enjoyed writing all the 34 I've sent out.
If you've read my last post about outgoing letters, you might know that I was late with the deadline of this lettermo and still had to post those ten letters.
Today (which means I'm still in time for the April lettermo, YAY!), I've rushed at the post office, and sent out all the remaining envelopes.
Check them out :)

Guest Post: Nnenna | Correspondance Club
Hi guys, one of my new blogger friends, Nnenna, runs a pen pal club, and I'm really happy to be part of it now! :) I though some of you might be interested, so I asked her to write about her project here.
You have until May 1st to sign up for the next month round, so make sure to read the whole post if you're interested!

Hiya- I'm so excited to be here on Fab's blog today! She asked me to share about a little project I started a few months ago called the Correspondence Club. First thing you should know about me is that I'm a huge stationery lover! I also love to write letters- I think they are such a special, thoughtful item that you can treasure for years. Then, I thought about how fun it would be to connect with my blogger friends in another way- through letter writing!
When I posed the idea to my readers, I was so glad to hear that there are others out there who enjoy writing letters just as much as I do. I thought to myself, "Just go for it!" and that's how the Correspondence Club got started!
Each person has one partner and we exchange letters once a month. In addition to our letters, we also include a small little gift (under $5), to brighten your partner's day. It doesn't have to be anything expensive at all (you can even handmake something); the idea is just to include a little present that you think will make your pen pal smile :) Then, at the end of every month, I do a round-up post on my blog with pictures of all the letters that people have sent! You can see some of the letters I've sent below :)

lost mail
Hello guys,
did it ever happen to you that something you've sent, or you were supposed to receive, got lost in the mail?
Unfortunately, it did happen to me, and several times also.
Just in the past month, 5 letters that I was expecting, never showed up, and also a couple of letters I've sent, never arrived at their destination.
Bisedes the anger due to the loss of money, but especially, for all the care I put in every single letter I write, what really bothers me about this inefficiency is that this way, it's like having a conversation interrupted. And that's pretty awful, you know?
Anyway, sorry for this rant, let's see what I received this week:
My new friend from Finland, Mette, sent me her first letter along with a really lovely stationery set :)
I don't know if you can see it clearly, but the stamp on the envelope is pretty cool, too.

Lettermo april week #4
Wait what? It's already week 4? It means another month is over - so fast, blargh -. However, I still have a few peeps on my list that requested a letter, that for a reason or another (mostly because of swap-bot though) still have to received their envelope of randomness. So, if you're one of those people, don't worry! The lettermo might be over but I will keep my word anyway :)
Now let's talk about the outgoing letters for this week!
Monday:
Letter for Mayan, Portugal. The envelope is handmade from a page of a vintage children's book. Inside it, there are quite a few random things, I don't know why Mayan -probably because of what she wrote when requesting a letter- gave me the impression of being the kind of person that might have enjoyed an envelope of weird stuff, so yeah. Maybe I'm completely wrong and she'll hate. Very likely so.
Tuesday:
Letter for Thea, Norway. I had so much fun writing/preparing this letter because she's one of my favourite people on tumblr and wanted to make something special for her! I've also put two nice stamps because she have a Wreck This Journal too, and they might be a good addition to her stamps page :)

cute finds #2
Yesterday was an unexpected stationery-shopping day. I was planning to save money this month but so far I've incredibly failed.
Anyway, walking home from Uni, we stopped in one of my favourite shops and I found myself surrounded by a lot of awesome stationery supplies. For the above mentioned reason, I've only (but not really) bought three thingies.
"Sukie Box of Labels" by chronicle books and a two designs memo pad by Midori.
Not that I've counted them, but the Sukie box contains over 100 labels and various stickers. It's a good thing you can't see me right now because I'm almost drooling.
I've also bought this gorgeous booklet of postcards by Ana Juan:
Her illustrations are so fascinating and most of them are black and white, lush! Some of her characters reminds me of Tweedledum & Tweedledee of Alice in Wonderland (the one by Tim Burton), with the big round head and all, ahah. I'll be keeping some of them for myself, but the rest will be used for my various postal activities :)

Alice in my mailbox
Hello everyone! How is your day going?
Mine just turned out very good, since I found some pretty letters in mailbox!
This lovely letter, is from my new american pen pal, Mary from California.
She has such a neat handwriting, I'm really jealous of it! Her letter also conteined a pretty heart shaped origami and an ex libris sticker, so nice!

Lettermo April, week #2
Aaand another week is gone! Since I started the lettermo, my weeks seems awfully shorter to me. I'm already almost half way through it, and it doesn't seem real.
Anyway let's see who's going to get their mailbox filled this week :D
Monday's letter, or better, packet, went out for Lauren. She contacted me on tumblr and we arranged a swap of arsty things, just like we did a year ago!
Tuesday's letter was for Megan, and I attempted to make something interesting out of her envelope:

happy mailbox
Hello everyone, I've been messing a bit with my blog schedule lately. Anyway, it should be back to normal now, hopefully!
The lettermo is still going, but I've decided to make just one post a week with all the outgoing letters, on thursday, instead of a couple a week.
This post today, is dedicated to all the incoming beauties I've received last week and today.
Steffi, sent me another letter. They're always very colorful and pleasant to read, not to mention that she always send me awesome things!

Lettermo April, week #1
Hello there, fellow stamplickers!
How is the writing life going? Mine, pretty good. On monday I started the lettermo and succesfully completed this week so far.
Too bad I haven't been feeling really well this week, and didn't really had the time and patience to take many pictures of the outgoing letters:
From left to right, in order of mailing date:

From left to right, in order of mailing date:
- the big yellow envelope, is for an ephemera swap. I've sent out 250g worth of vintage paper to Lesa from swap-bot, and hopefully I'll receive the same quantity of stuff from a girl from Israel, soon; (monday)
- First letter out of those requested, for Christabel in the UK; (tuesday)
- Penpal letter for Susan in the USA; (wednesday)
- Alicia's letter contains three inchies for a swap. It was my first time making inchies and I really hope they'll meet her tastes because I really felt like a noob while making them. :( (this morning)

Lettermo is over + Incoming
Today, March 30, my first Lettermo has officially come to an end!
It's time for some stats:
I think it's quite a remarkable goal for just a month! And just to let you all know, I was happy with every single bit of paper that you sent me :3
Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures of the last letters that went out for the Lettermo early this week; I wasn't at my place and I didn't have the camera with me. Anyway, they were for: Kelly, my new penpal from Canada; Iris, and two for some girls from swapbot.
Today's letter, and the very last for the Lettermo, went out for Neda:
I've also received some pretty mail this week (under the cut!).

Mail Day! #2
Today, I received another sweet letter from Sophia, so far so good.
Handing me the envelope, the custodian of my building told me that the envelope arrived damaged but he hadn't the chance to talk to the postman about that, because since the postal service was suspended for a week, he delivered a bunch of letters and he didn't really noticed that until he started sorting them.
